2019 Fall Color Guard Audition Results
Please do NOT post this on social media.
Last Sunday, a judging panel consisting of Mr. Arehart, Mr. Lucy, and our future guard instructor Mr. Paul Miller judged an audition to determine color guard membership for next fall season (2019-20). Students were judged based on a rubric of a maximum of 90 points (270 points total with three judges.) They were judged in both movement and equipment with prospective returning members having a higher standard set for dance and routine to see if they could continue to show growth.
A minimum score of 160 was set for membership in the 2019-20 fall color guard. Ten members reached and/or exceeded the minimum score. Their names are listed alphabetically below.
We politely request that you refrain from contacting us until Monday with any questions about auditions. We are of course happy to discuss your audition with you after the weekend.
We encourage all students to return for winter auditions where we hope to have a novice AND a AA ensemble to encourage and support new and developing membership while still allowing the existence of a more advanced group.
All accepted members are expected to bring the $25 commitment fee (checks made out to Fort Frye Band Boosters) to rehearsal on Tuesday, May 7th at 5:30pm. A parent meeting will occur after at 8:00pm. Leadership Applications will be due at this time for prospective color guard leaders.
